The Health Problem

Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS )

What is RLS

Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a common and treatable disorder of the nervous system. Characteristic of RLS is an urge to move, especially in the legs, but also in other parts of the body, which is associated with a wide range of sensations, including pain. Typically, the complaints occur in the evening and at night or in resting situations and can be relieved by movement or activity. With reduced sleep efficiency and sleep interruptions, relevant restrictions of the quality of life can be the consequence. Translated with (free version)

How to relieve the symptoms ?

By loosening your muscles and fasciae and thereby reducing tension states in the muscular-fascial structures. You can do this yourself by doing the tight stretching exercises, with the Rotorix.

As part of a bachelor's thesis, it was concluded that training with the RotoriX has a positive effect on factors of physical performance in a multiple sclerosis patient.

Above all, the measures mentioned here are suitable for weak manifestations of RLS and in many cases provide considerable relief of the symptoms. However, if the problems become more severe, so that this type of treatment is no longer sufficient, drug therapy is used - in consultation with the attending physician.
